Privacy Policy

This policy explains how LIT International Private Limited (“LIT International”, “we”) handles information you share with us through thelitinternational.com, WhatsApp and email. CIN U46590DL2025PTC459030. Registered office: 1586/13, Second Floor, Alaknanda, Govindpuri, New Delhi – 110019, India.
What we collect
- Enquiry details you send us: your name, company, phone/WhatsApp number, email, city or country, and what you want to buy (product, quantity, target price, specifications, reference links).
- Photos you upload with a price request.
- Messages you send to our WhatsApp Business number (+91 81304 55926) and to sourcing@thelitinternational.com, including your WhatsApp profile name.
- Products you add to an enquiry cart. The cart is kept only in your own browser until you send it.
Our guide pages show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads and measure them; where the law requires it, you are asked for consent first. You can manage ad personalisation in Google Ad Settings and read how Google uses data from partner sites. Other pages, including our enquiry and contact forms, show no ads. Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security.
We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not identify you. While you browse, your browser also remembers how you arrived (for example from Instagram or Google) until you close the tab, and this is added to any enquiry you send, so we know which channel it came from.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, find suppliers, compare prices, negotiate and send you quotes.
- To follow up on your enquiry and arrange samples, inspection and shipping if you place an order.
- To keep records required by Indian law (for example GST and customs).
We do not sell your information and we do not send you marketing messages unless you ask us to.
Who we share it with
- Shortlisted suppliers and factories receive the product details and photos needed to quote. We do not share your contact details with them unless you agree.
- Our team members who handle your enquiry.
- Service providers that run our systems: Cloudflare (website hosting), Supabase (database and file storage, Mumbai region), Google (email), and Meta Platforms (WhatsApp Business Platform).
- Logistics, inspection and customs partners, only when you place an order with us.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
When you message our WhatsApp Business number, your messages and profile name are delivered to us through WhatsApp and recorded in our private enquiry system so our team can respond. WhatsApp's own handling of your data is covered by WhatsApp's privacy policy.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for up to 3 years after our last contact with you, and order and invoice records for as long as Indian tax and customs law requires. Uploaded photos for enquiries that do not become orders are deleted within 12 months.
Security
Enquiry data is stored in a private database that only our server can access. Photos are kept in private storage. Only authorised team members can sign in to view enquiries.
Your rights and deleting your data
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask us to access, correct or erase your personal data, or withdraw consent. To do this, email sourcing@thelitinternational.com or WhatsApp +91 81304 55926 with the subject “Data request” and the phone number or email you used. We will act on it within 30 days. Data we must keep by law (such as invoices) will be retained for the legally required period.
